In 2018, I tried a pole dance class—and I fell in love. The combination of strength, technique, flexibility, and grace, paired with the endless possibilities in tricks and variations, had me instantly hooked. I’ve always loved a physical challenge, and pole dance opened up a whole new world for me.
In 2020, I began teaching pole dance. I brought my experience from personal training and layered on pole-specific knowledge. The skills blended perfectly—understanding correct body posture, activating the right muscles, and breaking down complex movements became second nature. For me, pole is also a powerful outlet for creativity.
Personally, I love training power moves: acrobatic tricks like flips, cartwheels, and handstands; playing with all kinds of Ayeshas (that’s like a handstand on the pole); deadlifts, kips, and static spins. But I’m quite an all-rounder as a pole dancer—I also enjoy floorwork, combos, flowing sequences, hardstyle choreos, and elegant splitty poses.
